The Dice Compendium 2 Lumia – Shadow

In 2020 I created the original Dice Compendium to elegantly organise my dice sets, with the D20s proudly up front. Since I typically play D&D at my DM’s home, rather than my own, I designed it with individual dice pods, allowing me to easily bring along the exact set I want to play with. (okay, probably more than one!)

The Dice Compendium was quickly embraced by dice and TTRPG communities, and it’s incredibly humbling that so many of you have chosen it to display your collection. As successful as it was, I’ve always wanted it to feel more “alive” and have a greater sense of magic about it.

By adding integrated electronics and LED lighting, I’ve finally made it a reality and am delighted to present The Compendium 2 Lumia!

First things first, I’ve received lots of feedback from the community that over the last few years the size of an average D20 has become slightly larger. To accommodate this, the pods in the Compendium 2 have 25% more space. Whether it’s handcrafted resin sets from small makers or more exotic metal dice, there’s now room for every 7 piece dice set in your collection!

The next most important upgrade is the integrated LED lighting in the Lumia versions. This is where your dice display really comes alive! Colors can be set either for the whole display or per pod and you can choose anything from cold to warm whites or full RGB if you want to go that way (no judgment here!).

You’ll also be able to pair it with our Dice Compendium app for iOS and Android devices! This will give you greater ease of setup and allow you to catalogue your dice collection in a fun and interactive way.

As with all GlowCraft products, half the fun is putting it together! The Dice Compendium 2 has been upgraded from the original Compendium to be easier to build with detailed build instructions and will have a build-a-long video to guide you through the process alongside printed instructions.

In addition, we spent hours challenging ourselves to make this the case with the electronics as well and I’m happy to report that all of our completely custom electronics are designed from the ground up to click together, with no soldering required!

The Dice Compendium 2 Lumia is designed to be a fully functioning, standalone display for your dice. The Dice Compendium App is for those who really want to get the most out of their collection!

Give each of your precious dice sets a digital identity. Sure, the maker, model and colourways are important, but these are your dice! Add their story, too!

Whether it’s a character name or just describing that feeling you get when rolling, anything you add will be searchable to help you find the perfect dice set for tonight’s game.

This is where the Lumia really shines! Search and explore your collection, choose one or more sets at random, send dice to jail or just paint some pixel art on your Compendium for fun! You’ll love interacting with your dice in a whole new way.

Change the colour of each pod, or even auto-assign colours based on the complementary colourways to the dice!

If you have more than one Compendium 2 Lumia, the Compendium app will make it easy to identify and arrange your Compendiums so they function as a single coherent display. It’s also kind of throwing retro Windows display settings vibes, which we’re okay with!
